This coffee was grown by the Kayon Mountain Farm, which is located in the southern Guji zone of Shakiso.  Coffees from this southern part of Ethiopia tend to have a lot of character with distinct floral and citrus notes.  The farm that grew this coffee is family owned and operated which allows its coffee to be sold direct and avoid the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (so more money goes back to the family farm).  They also has their own milling facilities which allows for greater control over post harvest production.

This is a pleasantly sweet, well balanced coffee with strong notes of kiwi, buttered almonds and hints of lemon.  It has a delicate, floral finish of honeysuckle that will leave you wanting more.
